Welcome to the Ingersoll Foundation Website!

You have been redirected from The Reason, Psychology and Ethics Project website to The Ingersoll Foundation for the Study of Cultural Influences on Brain Function site. The Ingersoll Foundation is the successor of the Reason, Psychology and Ethics Project, which was established to lay the groundwork for a foundation to raise funds for and to make grants supporting scientific research investigating the potential effects of instructing children to embrace "faith" -- the acceptance of claims of fact and a reality outside the realm of nature and science that are not grounded in reason and verifiable evidence -- as a valid means of perceiving reality. Specific areas of research will likely include investigation of potential neurological and mental health effects of long-term exposure of children to such instruction and the possibility that such exposure may alter their cognitive and neurological development and integrity, even as they move into adulthood.

We hope you will take the time to peruse this site feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
